Checking Your Grip
Directions:
It is very important to have a comfortable grip as it is the only connection you have to the golf club.
When we start with our grip, take your top hand (as per the video), put the grip in the base of your fingers, then wrap your fingers/hand around the grip. When you look down you should see the first two knuckles, your thumb just rests to the side of the grip. Have a look and notice the lower palm of your hand fits on the grip. That is the proper position for the top hand. The bottom hand can go on two ways. Overlap Grip where the baby finger overlaps the index finger or Interlock Grip where the baby finger interlocks with the index finger. In both cases the top thumb fits in the palm of your bottom hand. Your thumb should rest to the side of the grip. Also, the slot of the bottom hand should point to your trail shoulder which means the bottom hand is in the proper position.
Reminder: please remember to check your grip each time before you hit a ball.
